Consequently, effective\ncommunication in healthcare settings has become a crucial challenge. In particular, the language barrier\nin dealing with Chinese patients has raised concerns about the potential risks of miscommunication and\ninaccuracies in medical staff's language use.\nThis paper provides an overview of the current situation regarding foreign residents and medical\ninterpreters, focusing on the language support for Chinese patients. Drawing on experiences shared by\nmedical interpreters, the study examines the issues and effectiveness of language support for Chinese\npatients in healthcare settings.
