Survey content included respondent attributes, place attachment, communication with neighbors,\nactivities aimed at regional learning, local experiences with nature, and family and personal local\nemployment preferences. Exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were applied\nto the survey responses to examine the relationship between place attachment and respondents’ local\nemployment preferences.\nResults showed that engaging in regional learning activities and local nature experiences enhanced\n\"place attachment\". This, in turn, increased students’ desires to work locally. However, students’ families’\nopinions also influenced their desire to work locally. It was also suggested that “place attachment”\nenhanced “place contribution”. The research results indicate that to foster \"place attachment,\" it is\nimportant for students to learn about local traditions and culture, participate in festivals, and experience\nnature from elementary school onward.
