| 内容記述 | Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) features social/communication difficulties and restricted behaviors/ interests. Growing focus is on distinct sensory processing (hyper/hypo-sensitivity, seeking), linked to diverse clinical profiles and daily challenges. This review examines, from a mechanistic and neurophysiological viewpoint, how these sensory characteristics interact with core ASD symptoms and associated behaviors. It details underlying information processing biases and discusses challenges in assessment/support. The aim is to enhance understanding of this complex interplay and contribute to effective, individualized assessment and support development. |
