| 内容記述 | It is a well-known fact that the famous Japanese sinologist Shionoya-On(塩谷温) (1878-1962), who made a remarkable achievement in the study of Chinese fiction and opera, wrote his “Lectures on the Introduction to Chinese Literature(支那文学概論講話) ” (1919), which had a profound influence on Lu Xun's “A Brief History of Chinese Fiction(中国小説史略)” (1923). In his early years, Shionoya-On(塩谷温) studied at the University of Leipzig from October 1906 to August 1909 in order to learn the methods of German and European sinological studies. This essay examines the influence of German sinology, particularly that of the sinologist Wilhelm Grube, on Shionoya-On(塩谷温) 's study of Chinese literature, and explores the reasons for his study in Germany and his exchanges with European sinologists from the perspective of modern Japanese acceptance of Western approaches to sinological research.
