内容記述 | To explore Chinese undergraduate and graduate students’ local employment preferences, a questionnaire survey was administered to participants at a university in Inner Mongolia in September 2023. Survey content included respondent attributes, place attachment, communication with neighbors, activities aimed at regional learning, local experiences with nature, and family and personal local employment preferences. Exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were applied to the survey responses to examine the relationship between place attachment and respondents’ local employment preferences. Results showed that engaging in regional learning activities and local nature experiences enhanced "place attachment". This, in turn, increased students’ desires to work locally. However, students’ families’ opinions also influenced their desire to work locally. It was also suggested that “place attachment” enhanced “place contribution”. The research results indicate that to foster "place attachment," it is important for students to learn about local traditions and culture, participate in festivals, and experience nature from elementary school onward. The findings suggested that focusing on place attachment in this way will deepen local community bonds, potentially leading to increased local employment. |
